The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed with regards to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] sassa status is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is sassa because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The services place produced for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the sassa status servicing of all consumers and raise use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
